Partners

In an effort to build and expand the business eco-system in Greece, PRAKSIS is partnering with other hubs in Greece in order to provide budding entrepreneurs with alternative sources of financing. Currently our partners include:

Impact Hub

Impact Hub Athens is a local community - globally connected - that inspires and connects people and organizations that, through responsible and sustainable initiatives, can bring change.

We focus on an innovative approach that uses entrepreneurship as a tool for direct social impact. We are housed in  a beautiful neoclassical building created by the famous architect Ernst Ziller, at Psirri, right in the heart of Athens.

We provide all the necessary infrastructure & content for people to be creative, work effectively, host eye- opening events, meet other professionals and become a member of our community.

Orange Grove

Orange Grove is a flexible co-working space and network community for young entrepreneurs in Greece. It is an initiative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Athens in collaboration with the Dutch-Greek businesses, universities and local charity foundations to promote entrepreneurship and innovation, contribute to addressing youth unemployment in Greece and turning brain drain into brain mobility.

Orange Grove hopes to contribute to the creation of a local ecosystem for startups and to connect it to its international counterparts. Main sponsor of Orange Grove is Heineken, whereas the main donor is the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

Once selected, Orange Grove offers its members a selection of opportunities such as:

Action Finance Initiative

Action Finance Initiative (AFI) was founded by ActionAid Hellas and ADIE, the leadingmicrofinance institution in Europe, in order to introduce microcredits in Greece and to facilitate jobs’ creation through self-employment. The primary goal of the organization is to combat economic and social exclusion through the strengthening of entrepreneurship. In this respect, AFI offers access to funding up to 10,000 euros in the form of business microloans to both startups and existing businesses that cannot secure financing from any other source regardless of their commercial activity, degree of innovation, investment category or use of technology. Specifically, AFI gives the right to everyone, and especially to vulnerable social groups (youth, women, unemployed, immigrants), to gain access to necessary funds and in parallel to receive free personalized business training and supportwith the help of a diversepool of volunteers businesspeople.

Advertising and Public Relations Lab

Advertising and Public Relations Lab founded in 1993, is one of the three major specialisations offered to undergraduate students at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture of Panteion University of Athens. The educational model is based on collaborative design with business, startups and social partners of experiential and game-based learning experiences, simulations and real world challenges to be hacked or solved by the students, implementing co-creation and design methodologies that result in innovative, sustainable solutions (ideas, brands, services, communications, digital content, apps, startups, research platforms) with a positive social and environmental impact. Our current research is focused on mobile and collaborative consumption under the bi-annual survey “Mobile Generation Next”. Ad and PR Lab is also collaborating with the Copenhagen Business School, partnering with CCEBI (Co-Creating Experience Based Innovation) and the Research Network co-organizing international workshops focused on Cities as Platforms for Creativity and Sustainable Innovation.

With special thanks to Betty Tsakarestou, Head of the Ad&PR lab and Diana Birba external teaching partner and Marketing Manager G&C, Greece & Italy at Mondelez International.
