At One-up our aim is to support talented Greek entrepreneurs in sourcing the seed funding they need to get their business ventures off the ground, while providing donors with a new, simple and direct way to create real social impact on the individual, family and local levels. If you’re not sure which one of our entrepreneurs to back, we can help make the decision for you! By supporting the One-up fund we’ll make sure that your donations go towards those with the most urgent need of funds – i.e. – those that are closest to completing their target goal but need a top-up, those that need to get some momentum in their crowdfunding, those in whom a quick start is necessary towards their success etc.

All donations are placed into a PRAKSIS account and provided by us to the entrepreneurs as and when they meet and reach their agreed milestones.

This enables us to monitor and report on the proper use of your donation. In other words, once an entrepreneur meets their fundraising goal, they redeem their donations in pre-agreed sums through PRAKSIS.

It is important to note that up to 98% of your donation will go straight to the entrepeneur. As in any transaction a sum of between 0.5% - 2% is kept by the credit card company when you make your donation. One-up does not take any commission - the entire donation we receive goes to our budding entrepreneurs and you can help support our efforts by donating to the One-up fund.

The PRAKSIS Business Coaching Center is training, consulting and coaching center which supports entrepreneurship. The One-up platform is an extension of the BCC program providing entrepreneurs with alternative sources of financing, and donors with monitoring and reporting services in order to ensure that every cent of their donation is being used as intended. By helping to launch new businesses we support a society in a crisis-hit economy where jobs are limited. New businesses are the life-blood of an economy and at One-up we believe in encouraging local economies to grow, one individual and one business at a time. Why Crowdfunding?

Sources of capital in Greece are few and far between in the current crisis-hit economic environment. This hampers the ability of entrepreneurs to start new businesses and the economic environment deteriorates further. Crowdfunding is a means of gathering funds from a diverse group of people using Internet technology. The use of small amounts of capital from a large number of individuals to finance a new business venture. Crowdfunding makes use of the easy accessibility of vast networks of friends, family and colleagues through social media websites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to get the word out about a new business and attract investors. Crowdfunding has the potential to increase entrepreneurship by expanding the pool of investors from whom funds can be raised beyond the traditional circle of owners, relatives and venture capitalists.
