WHO WE ARE

The Visual Puppet Theatre "Prassein Aloga " was founded in 1998. Since then we are working consistently for the art of Puppet Theatre, presenting an original show combining: action of actor and puppet, theater, visual arts and dance, for children and adults. Our puppets  are of different techniques and have a particular visual interest.

During  18 years we have made 15 theatrical productions at various theaters, but also at schools, municipalities all over Greece as well as in international festivals around the world with honors and awards. The media and the art world recognized the quality and originality of our work.

The NATIONAL THEATRE OF GREECE and the ONASSIS CULTURAL CENTRE commissioned theatrical productions to the company .

The FOUNDATION of HELLENIC WORLD and TELOGLION organized honorary retrospective for our 15 years artistic creation between theater and  visual arts with 100 dolls, props and videos of our productions. Do you think that it worth a world that transports , children and adults, in a fairy-tail atmosphere? We ask for your participation.
My name is Emmanouela Kapokaki. Even being child, the world we live in, upset my soul. Longing for people to communicate more effectively with each other. To reveal their truths, from the depths of their soul.
So I started to create worlds, to me more real, more interesting. To fabricate mechanical toys and masks. But I wanted that they became  alive and narrate their stories.
I studied in France Puppet Theatre. I founded the Visual Puppet Theatre "Prassein Aloga" in 1998.
I started with my body, puppets and props to narrate visual stories. Colorful, tender, with a strong personal style and annotations for life, performances, that moved children and adults.
I saw the eyes of my spectators, young and old, to shine, to be transferred to the magic of these imaginary worlds. I felt that they needed it.
Thus began this extraordinary journey, for me and for my fans, which lasts already 18 years! Great was the acceptance for our artistic work, as you can read in the biographical text below.
This year we launched  our own theatrical microcosm. The Dollhouse Prassein Aloga. A different space, which has the warmth and intimacy that suits our performances. It also presents a selection of our oldest puppets.
